Introducing Michael Bush, Licensed Therapist Specializing in Childhood Development

At AGC, we offer a comprehensive range of services to support children in overcoming learning and developmental challenges. We are thrilled to introduce Michael Bush, a licensed therapist, as a wonderful addition to the AGC treatment team.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from Troy University, graduating summa cum laude, and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of West Alabama. With a wealth of experience in working with children who have dyslexia, ADHD, OCD, ODD, and Tourette’s, he has witnessed firsthand, the transformative power of therapy in their lives. Throughout his career, he has served as an Educator, School Guidance Counselor, and SEL Counselor.

Having spent 11 years living in Asia, Michael immersed himself in Eastern mindfulness practices and adeptly adapted them to suit American lifestyles. This unique cross-cultural experience allows him to bring a diverse perspective to therapy.

“I firmly believe in the importance of mindfulness in promoting emotional well-being and resilience in children. I have also had the opportunity to work extensively with both children of adoption and children from diverse foreign countries and cultures. I understand the unique challenges and needs that arise in these situations and provide a safe and nurturing environment for their growth and development. Furthermore, I am certified to teach children who are learning English as a second language, enabling me to effectively communicate and connect with children from various linguistic backgrounds.
Drawing from my background and experiences, I bring a comprehensive and inclusive approach to therapy. I am committed to providing individualized care that addresses the specific needs of each child, fostering their emotional well-being, self-esteem, and overall growth. It is my passion to empower children to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, and I look forward to embarking on this journey at AGC”.  – Michael Bush
