Our Services • The Medical Clinic is the Starting Point
Medical Clinic
Every family begins their journey at Alabama Game Changers with a visit to our medical clinic. At the first appointment, our pediatrician takes time to understand your child’s history and explore possible reasons behind their learning challenges.
What to Expect
We screen for underlying factors such as hearing and vision problems, colorblindness, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and absence seizures—all of which can impact how a child processes and learns information. After the screenings, our pediatrician will review the results with you and guide you through your next best steps.
Next steps are determined at this first visit. If appropriate, our pediatrician can recommend and help with medicine management to support attention, anxiety, or other areas that may affect learning. Our pediatrician may also recommend your child have additional evaluations—like a dyslexia assessment, an occupational therapy evaluation, or another specialty consult to look at other root causes of learning struggles in depth.
